Great bread, cookies and sandwiches

Great Harvest Bread Co.In all my years of eating (and there have been many) I have not found a better bread than that made by Great Harvest Bread Co.

Thankfully for Las Vegas valley residents, there are three Great Harvest establishments in town. Actually two are in Henderson and one is in Las Vegas. But since we live in Henderson, that works out great for us.

Our ties to Great Harvest go a bit deeper as well, as one of our good family friends owns a bakery in Orem, Utah. And they’re so generous and good to us because just about every time we drive through the area they insist we stop by their store to stock up on our favorite things.

The honey whole wheat bread is simply the best. But really, I haven’t had any bread there I didn’t like. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing. The sandwiches make for a perfect lunch. And the sweet breads, like the chocolate cherry or pumpkin chocolate chip, are our favorites.

Even for those of you counting Weight Watchers points, Great Harvest breads are friendly, from 1 to 2 points a slice.

If you’re into freshly baked, homemade tasting breads and cookies, Great Harvest Bread Co. is a great place to frequent.
